A new 2,700 sq ft detached house with detached garage and outbuilding sited in a landscaped garden purposely designed to enhance the natural environment.
Large sections of the garden have been left for wildflower coverage. Existing boundaries fortified and enhanced and new trees planted. Existing non native fir species to be removed and replaced with appropriate deciduous tree varieties to provide better use of annual natural light.
Materials have been carefully selected with stone being used for the base and, upper stories clad in vertical or horizontal hardwood timber strips to emphasise the building's form. Standing seam zinc cladding give clean lines to flat roof edges and bay windows. A self coloured render has been chosen for the remaining surfaces.
